1. Blockchain Overview

RECEN is built on advanced blockchain infrastructure that combines the security of Ethereum-compatible networks with high-performance, low-cost transaction processing.

Our technology stack is designed specifically for energy trading, with custom smart contracts for REC issuance, marketplace operations, and cross-chain interoperability.

2. BSC (BEP-20)

The RECEN token is built on Binance Smart Chain as a BEP-20 token. BSC provides: EVM compatibility for Ethereum-based development tools, significantly lower gas fees compared to Ethereum mainnet, high throughput for marketplace transactions, and a large existing ecosystem of DeFi protocols.

3. PoSA Consensus

RECEN leverages the Proof of Stake Authority (PoSA) consensus mechanism with 21 validator nodes. This provides: 1-second block time for near-instant transaction finality, 3-second generation time for rapid certificate issuance, Byzantine fault tolerance for network security, and energy-efficient validation compared to Proof of Work.

4. Smart Contracts

RECNFT Contract (ERC-721): Manages the issuance, ownership, and metadata of Renewable Energy Certificates. Each token stores on-chain data including energy type, REC amount, CO2 savings, issuer address, and issuance timestamp.

RECMarketplace Contract: Handles listing, buying, and fee collection for REC trades. Supports USDT and RECEN token payments with configurable fee structures.

MockUSDT / MockRECEN (ERC-20): Test token contracts for the Sepolia testnet deployment, enabling users to test trading functionality without real assets.

5. Smart Meter Technology

RECEN integrates proprietary Smart Meter technology for accurate energy data recording. Smart meters automatically measure renewable energy generation and transmit data to the blockchain for verified REC issuance.

This creates a trustless pipeline from energy generation to certificate creation, eliminating the need for manual verification in most cases.

6. Cross-Chain Protocol

RECEN adopts cross-chain technology to enable seamless communication with other blockchain networks including Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Avalanche.

Key features: Ethereum-based BEP-20 compatibility, API support for token issuance and integration, decentralized application (DApp) ecosystem, and energy-specific data recording mechanism.

7. Security

Security measures include: OpenZeppelin audited contract implementations (ERC-721, ERC-20), SafeERC20 for secure token transfers, Ownable access controls for administrative functions, and immutable on-chain data storage for certificate integrity.
